Suna East Member of Parliament, Hon Junet Mohammed is one of the vocal legislators that we have in Kenya.He is also a key official at the ODM Party since he is the director of elections and campaigns.
Junet did not join politics the other day, the alumnus of the prestigious Lenana School became the mayor of Migori Town in the year 2003 while he was still very young.
After 10 years, he contested in the parliamentary race and won thus becoming the first person from the Somali Community to be elected as an MP in Nyanza region.During the 2017 general elections, he was re-elected to serve his constituents for for the second term.
The MP is very close to his party leader, Hon Raila Amollo Odinga.Recently, the two have been seen attending meetings together.Junet was even the co-chair of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) secretariet.
What probably you did not know is that he can speak fluent Dholuo language and he was also born in Migori.
