His Excellency the president have William Ruto stated that, he had tried to speak to the wiper leader Kalonzo Msyoka to join the government while at a thanks giving ceremony in Kitui on Sunday, however, he said the wiper leader denied the offer.
This is the opposit of what he had spoken earlier that he will not invite any member of opposition to the government. He said the Akamba people did not have anything to do in the opposition.
Kalonzo had refused to join Ruto even before election despite Ruto calling on him severally.
The wiper leader have of late been vocal in the opposition criticizing the government.
Having severally sacrificed in the favour of Raila in the past three elections, Kalonzo maybe in fear of joining the government since this may depopularise him if Raila is to give him support in the next election.
If Ruto is to vie for the second time and Raila retires from active politics Kalonzo maybe his strongest competitor in the next election if he is to contest.
