Kalonzo Asks For Prayers To Get Out Of Political Prison

It is clear that Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka had been going through hardtimes in his political career, He has now asked for prayers to get out of what he described as political prison.

The comments were made by the former vice president while he was in attendance at a thanksgiving event that was hosted by the Kiambu University and College Students Association at the City of Refuge Church in Thika, which is located in Kiambu County.

In response to the question of why he was incarcerated, Kalonzo stated that the reason was because he had been politically marginalized for more than a decade.

" I have lived through three rigged elections in 2013, 2017, and 2022.

" The Apostles who are here and Kenyans in general, please pray for me to get out of this prison, " he pleaded.

Kalonzo stated that he did not yet recognise the results of the general election that took place on August 9, 2022, which showed that his Azimio faction was defeated by Kenya Kwanza.

As a result of the many irregularities that were observed during the voting process, I still do not feel that we were victorious in the election.

In order to put an end to the controversy, Kalonzo strongly recommended that international organizations make the auditing procedure easier.

" I still do not believe we lost the election as a lot of malpractices was witnessed during the process.

" The only way we will move on is after receiving a thorough audit of what transpired during the election, " Kalonzo told the congregants.

In addition, Kalonzo criticized the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and Chairman Wafula Chebukati for interfering with the elections. Kalonzo said that both were guilty of meddling.

" The story of our elections cannot end with Chebukati or Supreme Court because they are human beings and they can make mistakes.

"It is the audit report that will bring peace and stability to our country because there cannot be peace without justice," Kalonzo remarked on the future of the country.
