IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati Set to Announce President Elect any Time from now.

Today, 15th August 2022 marks 6th day since August 2022 genaral elections. Last week Tuesday, Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission conducted elections across the 46,229 polling stations.

Independent Electoral and Boundaries (IEBC) has been doing verification of all converned forms at the Nation Tallying center (Bomas of Kenya). As per the Kenyan Constitution 2010, The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Chairman is the national presiding officer and he is the only one allowed to announce the president elect.

All eyes are at Bomas of Kenya as the big announcement awaits. Preparation are taking place as Kenyans wait for the event. So far two presidential candidates have reported to the venue Roots party presidential candidate Professor George Wajackoyah and Angano party presidential candidate David Waihiga Mwaura. The two shook hands as a sign of unity. More guests are expected to join the event before the big announcement is made.

The battle was between four presidential candidates Raila Odinga ( Azimio La Umoja one Kenya Alliance), William Ruto (UDA), Waihiga Mwaura (Angano party), and Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah.
