Kenyans have been informed that the four dissenting commissioners of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), including vice chair Juliana Cherera, were employed by the coalition party Azimio la umoja One Kenya and its presidential candidate Raila Odinga.
Samson Cherargei, a senator for Nandi county, claims that Raila Odinga's decision to hold a press conference regarding the fate of the four dissenting commissioners is sufficient proof that they were working for him. He shared what he described as evidence that the four worked for Azimio.
"Raila Odinga and Co. attending parliament on Juliana cherera and Co. Hearing confirms they were working for Azimio-OKA not kenyans. Raila Odinga and co. urging them to boycott a constitutional process is very unfortunate and disdain towards the rule of law and democracy what an hypocrisy from him and Co," he said.
Cherargei was speaking about the defense that Raila Odinga has put in as far as the fate of the four is concerned. He said that the Kenya Kwanza administration should stop being vindicative of the four. He even argued that the supreme court did not find them of any wrongdoing unlike the commission chairperson Wafula Chebukati.
