Former president of the Law Society of Kenya Nelson Havi has accepted defeat in the Westlands Parliamentary race to Tim Wanyonyi. Havi was contesting for the seat through the United Democratic Alliance party but lost to Wanyonyi of the Orange Democratic Movement.
Nelson Havi did not put up any objection to the results but instead congratulated him for his victory. He said that the people of Westlands need his leadership more and wished him a good time in office as he plans to lead the people of Westlands.
"On our part, we are contented with the outcome. Congratulations to you my elder brother, Tim Wanyonyi. Serve well," he added.
Havi campaigned intensely for the parliamentary position but Wanyonyi was clever than him as he had attracted more supporters. Havi will now concentrate on his private works as he waits for the next general elections to try his luck once again. Follow the page for more news updates daily.
