16 top politicians could be barred from contesting in any seat in the August 9 elections if the high court allows a petition filled by activist Okiyah Omtata
The human rights activist moved to court seeking to have persons with integrity issues blocked by the electoral commission from contesting in the forthcoming elections.
Omtatah regretted that many people adversely mentioned in the theft of public funds had also presented themselves to the electorates seeking various polls.
Should the petition sail through 16 politicians currently on the radar of anti corruption over graft allegations of over shillings 10 billion will be barred from contesting.
They include :
