Days after he assumed office after the unceremonioul exit of former DCI boss George Kinoti, Hamisi Massa has been the subject of discussion after his recent sentiments in bringing sanity to the much attacked body DCI appeared to have launched a war against the Deputy president.
On his part the deputy president in the previous day's attached the office DCI with political affiliations to the previous regime claiming that they were incapable of running the criminal investigation department for lack of transparency.
The DCI has henceforth come forward this morning to say that the published article by a local daily was misinformed to the latter that at no point did the acting DCI boss brought up the name of the deputy president in his meeting yesterday with various government officials.
Hamisi Massa insisted in the meeting that the DCI is responsible for criminal investigation in the country whether one occupies public offices or not that they are determined to restore confidence in the investigative body by establishing cases that would be charble in courts.
