President Kenyatta, DP William Ruto and Raila Odinga to share a podium on Thursday, May 26 during the 19th national prayer breakfast in Nairobi.
The 2022 prayer breakfast headline is ‘transition’, coming barely two months before August 9, 2022 presidential elections.
The head of state and his deputy divorced their relationship after it came evident that President Kenyatta endorsed the former Prime minister to be his successor.
The annual event, in which political leaders, including ODM leader Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), have been invited, will take place at Parliament Buildings.
The long awaited event has been organised by Parliament.
“We have invited everyone, the Deputy President, Mr Odinga and even the Chief Justice. It is now upon them to choose to attend or not. It is only Kalonzo that we know is not in the country and therefore will not attend but the rest we expect at Safari Park,” says Dan Maazo, the co-chair of the event.
