Politicians targetting the top job have embarked on vigorous campaigns to mobilize support for their bids by selling their agenda for the country, top of the priority being the economy.

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has slammed DP Ruto over his Bottom-up economic model agenda stating that Bottom-up is a laughable economic model which perpetuates the concept of poverty.

The Wiper party leader has not spared Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in his criticism and has stated that Raila's Ksh 6000 monthly stipend is a poor model for the country, and can not help anybody since people cannot be lifted out of poverty through handouts.

"It is good to have positive criticism. Of all models, Bottom-Up is the most laughable. It perpetuates the concept of poverty and you want to get people out of poverty. You can't lift people out of poverty by handouts," Kalonzo Musyoka said.
