Raila Odinga has expressed his dissatisfaction about how IEBC are about to conduct an election without catering for his complaints.Raila Odinga has reaffirmed that the IEBC should have a manual register ahead of the August polls.
IEBC had planned to use printed registers on polling day alleging that the register would create an avenue for electoral malpractices.Speaking in Gatundu Raila has said using the manual register as a back up to the electronic kits is non negotiable and it is a must they should have.
Raila said,"Manual register is a must at each and every polling station. It's not negotiable."Raila also said,"We are telling the IEBC they must have a manual register along with biometric identification of the voters on that polling day.Kabla hiyo, hakuna uchaguzi."
Wafula Chebukati had earlier promised all the Presidential candidates back at Windsor hotel that the issue of the register will be addressed and be shared with stakeholders and be broken down to each polling station.Ruto said he had no issues with the electronic kits provided the IEBC had issued sufficient guarantees that all registered voters would be allowed to cast their ballots. On the other hand Azimio team have however insisted on the exclusive use of electronic voter identification would be against the law. Please share and follow me.
