In her resignation letter, the vice chairperson of the commission has revealed what triggered her decision to resign from the IEBC.
According to Juliana Cherera, the move to resign has come after careful consideration of the events taking place at the commission and a long consultation with her legal team and the family.

The four commissioners who have been suspended from office by the President were accused of trying to subvert the will of the people when they rejected the presidential results announced by the commissioner's chairman mr Wafula Chebukati.
She thanked President Ruto for the chance according to her to serve the republic of Kenya.
