Kenyans will be heading to the general elections come next year and the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission has set 9th august to be the election day.
As the days go by many of those who wish to seek for the electoral post that include the presidency, governorship, senate, member of parliament, women representative and members of county assembly has set the ball rolling by selling their agendas.
The presidential seat has attracted quite a number of aspirants that include the deputy president William Ruto, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi,Wiper leader Kolonzo Musyoka, Speaker of National Assembly Justine Muturi, Governors Alfred Mutua and Kivutha Kibwana.
Ruto will be contesting for the first time while Raila has been on the race for 5 consecutive elections and has always had a massive following. This coming election he has higher chances of clinching the presidential seat keeping in mind that he has the backing of president Uhuru Kenyatta who was his fierce rival.
What makes Raila have more chances of winning the coming presidential elections is the fact that in the past elections he failed to captcha central Kenya votes. This means if he maintains the number of votes in other parts of the country his able to get at least 50% of the central votes then he is likely to emerge the winner.
As we all head to the count down lets all be good to our neighbors as we know election comes and goes.
Peace is what we need, your comments will be appreciated and keep following for more news.
