Since taking over the government, President William Ruto has always been maintaining that he will be working on minimizing costs. He has been talking of saving up to Ksh. 300 billion a year so as to help fix the economic puzzle in the country.
While that is the case, today Kenyans were left surprised after they woke up to details revealing the amount of money that President William Ruto's Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir is set to spend on his clean energy move.
According to the Daily Nation, the Energy Ministry under CS Davis Chirchir is set to spend Ksh. 2.4 billion on lesos, aprons, brochures among other things in their clean energy mission.
That comes at a time when the government is crying foul complaining that there is no money at the Treasury. Infact, Ruto's men have been complaining that they inherited a broke government but still, there are enough billions to spend on things like lesos.
