The deputy president of the republic of Kenya Mr Rigathi Gachagua has come out publicly to give Kenyans the Paybill for the fundraiser that was meant to raise funds to support Kenyans that are affected by drought and famine.The deputy president has said that the Paybill number for the program is 880990 for Kenyans who may want to raise the funds through their mobile phones.
The second in command said that it was only through Kenyans coming together to support others that they could manage to raise enough funds to support the other Kenyans affected by drought.He said that so far the government had managed to raise about 57.6 billion kenyan shillings to help those affected by hunger.
The former Mathira Member of Parliament said that hunger was faulted to the prevailing climatic changes that have made farming almost impossible for those families.The deputy president also said that post COVID-19 pandemic has also attributed to the low food supply as well as the Ukraine war in Europe.
