There have been cases of voter bribery that have been witnessed in the country with campaigns being intensified by various candidates countrywide ahead of the upcoming general elections in August.
According to a report released by Haki Africa on Monday, June 27, there have been allegations of voter bribery by the campaign team of three of the four presidential candidates cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
They further stated that Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party and Kenya Kwanza Alliance which are headed by Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto respectively, have had election malpractice.
They noted that even independent candidates have been engaged in the evil and all the reports about the same have been forwarded to IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati for consideration and action to be taken.
