
'Kawira Must Go' chants filled air during a public participation meeting by the Members of the Meru county assembly. The MCAs were seeking get the approval of their electorates before they proceeded with the impeachment process.
It is safe to say that they got an overwhelming go ahead node from the residents as, they chanted their souls out in agreement of the impeachment.
Kawira is facing ouster after days of tussles and push and pull among her family and the county MCAs. Kawira is accused of miuse of power and abuse of office among them nepotism. The county boss is accused of hiring her husband as county officials and her rekatuves among them her own blood sister.
However, she has since denied all the accusations, the county boss is now at the edge as 68 of 69 MCas approved the motion seeking her removal from office.
With the approval of the voters, Kawira now has be a worried leader as her impeachment imminent.
