ODM's Barasa and ANC's Malala cast their votes in Kakamega despite gubernatorial race postponement

Yesterday IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati officially announced that the commission resolved to postpone Kakamega and Mombasa gubernatorial races after ballot papers mix up.

Top gubernatorial candidates in Kakamega county have already casted their votes in different polling stations despite the IEBC directive to postpone the gubernatorial race.

ANC gubernatorial candidate senator Cleophas Malala alongside his wife Carolyne Malalah casted their votes at Bukhungu stadium polling station in Mahiakalo ward, Kakamega county.

" This morning, alongside my wife, Mrs Carolyne Malalah, we casted our votes at the Bukhungu stadium polling station in Mahiakalo ward" posted Malala on his official Facebook page.

Senator Malala urged his supporters from the county to come out in large numbers and observe peaceful elections as they vote for his preferred presidential candidate, deputy president William Ruto.

" I urge all our supporters to come out in large numbers and observe peaceful elections as they vote for our 5th president, William Ruto and all Kenya Kwanza candidates" added senator Cleophas Malala.

ODM gubernatorial candidate Fernandez Barasa and his wife Prof. Janet Kassily also casted their votes at Bulimbo primary school in the county.

" My wife Prof. Janet Kassily Barasa and I, have exercised our democratic right and civic responsibility of voting at Bulimbo primary school" said Fernandez Barasa.

Mr. Barasa further urged Kakamega county residents to come out in large numbers to vote and protect Azimio's Raila Odinga votes. He promised to traverse the entire county protecting Raila Odinga votes.

" I will thereafter traverse the entire county to protect Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga votes and other Azimio candidates, and encourage people to get out and vote" added Barasa.
