Didmus Barasa Dismisses Raila's Hyped Friday Announcement at Kasarani, Speaks of Alleged Invitation

Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has dismissed Raila Odinga's much hyped Friday December 10 announcement that is scheduled to take place at Kasarani Sports Centre.

Barasa said that there was nothing out of the obvious that the former Prime Minister will be officially launching his 2022 presidential bid despite giving all hints that he was gearing himself for the contest.

Speaking with K24 TV on Tuesday, Barasa who supports Deputy President William Ruto's bid stated that he did not receive any invitation despite alleged claims of the same.

"I haven't received any invitation, and I do not think that the Kasarani event will offer anything different from what we have seen and heard in the past from Raila. we are all aware he is running for the presidency," posed Barasa.

He went on to allege that Raila's age was advanced and that he should have supported his junior politicians, further insisting that the young generation will not support leaders who have been in the political space for several decades now.

According to Raila's allies, the event that will have more than 60,000 attendees and a section if not all Kieleweke MPs will be in attendance.
