Intriguing Facts About Deputy President William Ruto

Deputy President William Ruto was born on 21 December 1966 in Kamagut to Daniel Cheruiyot and Sarah Cheruiyot.

In the year1991, William Ruto got married to his wife Racheal Ruto and they are blessed with six children.

For his education, William Ruto attended Kerotet Primary School and later on joined Wareng Secondary School for his O Levels education before proceeding to Kapsabet Boys, Nandi for his Advanced Levels. He was ranked the best student in his class.

William Ruto is from a very humble background despite him being very rich. His parents were not rich as he was growing up and he had to really work his way to the top.

William Ruto is a strong believer, a staunch Christian and a member of the African Inland Church(AIC). Did you know that he once was the head of a choir at a local church.

William Ruto is the current Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya since 4th March 2013, when he was elected alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta.

William Ruto was once a seller of chicken. He carried out his trade at the market known as Kambi Kuku that is located along the Eldoret — Malaba Highway.
