Kimani Wamatangi Reacts on MPs Plan to Impeach Trade CS Moses Kuria Over Importation of GMO Maize

Kenya is a sovereign state that is under the leadership of president William Ruto. The country is also guided by the new constitution that contains fundamental human rights and freedoms.

This week, a section of Rift Valley MPs have threatened to table a motion of planning to impeach trade cabinet secretary Moses Kuria over the contraversy of his statement over the importation of genetically modified maize seed.

Pokot South member of parliament, Hon David Pkosing had threatened to table a motion to collect signatures to threaten Moses Kuria.

Today, Kiambu county governor Kimani Wamatangi has reacted on the MPs plan to impeach Kuria. According to the Kiambu boss, impeaching Hon Kuria is not a solution.

Wamatangi has said that MPs need a sober debate over the importation of Maize in the country rather than plotting to impeach CS Kuria who is only two months old in office.
