The Embakasi East Member of Parliament HonBabu Owino has issued an ultimatum demanding that the CDF money for bursaries to be released. He said that if its not released they are going to take tough steps.
The MPs have twice stormed out of proceedings in protest of the delayed disbursement of the National Government Constituency Development Fund. He said that they need the fund to help their constituents with bursaries.
Babu Owino issued a statement that said, “Education is not the preparation of life, education is life itself and I want to tell you that the purpose of education is to replace an empty mind with a focused one. And the main reason we are here, we are the servants of the people and for a leader for to lead you must agree to serve. We want to serve our people. We want money for bursary. Money that will be taken to take our children to school, to high school, to university.”
