The Wiper Party has been facing hurdles in the race for the Mombasa Gubernatorial Elections where Former Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko was denied clearance by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision.
The Former Nairobi Governor was denied clearance and immediately went to court to contest the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision decision to omit him from the ballot as per the reports.
A ruling was delivered by the court in his favor this afternoon where the IEBC was ordered not to print the papers of Mombasa Governor race until the matter was determined.
This evening, according to reliable reports from Mombasa County, Wiper Party has decided to drop Former Nairobi Governor as it's candidate for the top seat in Mombasa.
This is after the hurdles that Sonko has faced for the past few months in his quest to take over the seat from Hassan Joho who is retiring after his two terms.
Ali Mbogo will be the new Wiper Party Candidate in the Mombasa Gubernatorial Elections as per the reports that we have from Mombasa.
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko will be the running mate of Ali Mbogo in the elections that are slated for August 9th.
