In the camp of President William Samoei Ruto, dissension and treason are looming after a tug of war between Kenya Kwanza's senior officers.
The delegate for Murang'a Women, Ms. Betty Maina, allegedly accused Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation Hon Alice Wahome of being a traitor in the recently concluded bi-elections, as reported by Nation.
Miss Maina was astonished to learn that Wahome had not backed any candidates in the process of replacing her since she had accused Wahome of being a plumber rather than the water CS.
Wahome defended herself by asserting that she is a Murang'a voter and that, as such, she was not permitted by law to support any candidate in the Kandara by-election.
Despite assertions to the contrary, the two Ruto's aides Maina and Wahome are not the only ones engaged in conflict. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja are also at odds.
