Jeremiah Kioni who has recently rose to a very influential leader in the president Uhuru Kenyatta led kieleweke group has once again opened the Building Bridges Initiative debate after making new allegations about what the High Court and the Court of Appeal did. According to Kioni, the the court did a treasonable thing by opening up the process of amendment of the Kenyan constitution to foreigners who would want to fund the Wanjiku, the initiator of constitutional changes because the executive cannot be seen to be helping the process.
"The Court of Appeal killed an innovative part of the constitution where Wanjiku could initiate a constitutional change process," Jeremiah Kioni told TV 47 Kenya.
Six judges of the Court of Appeal observed that the promoters of the Constitutional change process in the name of BBI were retired prime minister Raila Odinga and president Uhuru Kenyatta contrary to the provision of the constitution which demands the process to emanate from the people of Kenya.
