According to the Mizani Africa latest Opinion Poll Results the ODM's candidate Fernandes Barasa is the most popular gubernatorial candidate in Kakamega County commanding the lead with 53.5%. Incumbent Senator Cleophas Malala comes 2nd place with 39.0%.
Senator Cleophas Malala will have to up his game if he must succeed the incumbent Governor Wycliffe Oparanya in the August 9 Polls.
