Residents of Nyamira County, Borabu Constituency will have reason to smile after the Cabinet approved construction of Omonyenya-Kineni-Saiga Ngiya and Nyabara Ibere-Mokomoni-Kitaru roads to bitumen standards.
This came a result of the request of area member of Parliament to President Uhuru when he visited Kisii and Nyamira counties during Mashujaa day celebration. The MP had pleaded for help with these two particular projects. Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has been pushing for the same.

Another road project that is underway is Nyakwerema-Getare Road which is also under construction. Good roads are critical in boosting the economy. It's singular duty to ensure you all have good roads. Let's continue working together.
Nyamira County is one the counties in the country with very poor road networks. It is even worse this rainy season. The county is rich in agricultural production and a lot of farmers have encountered a lot of losses. We hope with this development the county will reap more.
