Mudavadi excited the Kipipiri Crowd when he confirmed that Raila is a lonely man after all his allies deserted him and followed Ruto in Kenya Kwanza. His remarks triggered a cheers as the crowd went wild after he revealed the reason for them leaving the the defunct Azimio la Umoja team.

In his speech he said, "Kama mimi MDVD Nilitoka, Wetangula na Kingi, mnadhani atashinda?" Easily translated as; I Mudavadi left, my friend Wetangula, Mutua and Kingi, Do you think they can defeat us? His statement alone eliciting mixed reactions from the gathered crowd which was joining the live event.
The team of Kenya Kwanza is confident that they will win the said seat in August with Moses Kuria and Governor Mutua insinuating that Raila will not come close to the presidency since the writing is on the wall that the winner will be William Ruto of Kenya Kwanza team.
