Stage stage as Kenya Kwanza Alliance and Azimio aspirants eyeing the Meru gubernatorial positions are set to face off in a political debate that will be streamed live by all vernacular radio stations in the region today.
The highly awaited debate will feature the incubent Meru County Governor Kiraitu Murungi and his Political rival Senator Mithika Linturi and Woman Representative Kawira Mwangaza.
The debate is sponsored by the Upper Eastern Media Managers Association (UEMMA), Kenya Methodist University and the Media Council of Kenya’s Technical Working Group on debates involving aspirants seeking governor, senator and women representative candidates.
Speaking about the today's debate, UEMMA chairman David Mzungu said the debate is a major event that brings together about 15 local radio and TV stations adding that it will help the electorate to make final decision on who they will vote for based on his or her agenda.
However the debate has suffered a blow at one of the Gubernatorial aspirant on Independent ticket, Ms. wangaza said she would not take part in the debate.
