Governor Kiraitu Murungi together with Deputy Governor Titus Ntuchiu have this morning welcomed Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Hon. Musalia Mudavadi together with his convoy to Meru County, at the County Government Headquarters.
Among those in the convoy is Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, Lugari MP Ayub Savula, Sabatia MP, Masadia Alfred Agoi, National Assembly Speaker Emeritus Kenneth Marende, among others and were received by among others, former Internal Security PS from Meru, Mutea Iringo.
Hon. Musalia is in Meru to meet leaders and opinion makers in the County, regarding his bid to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta as the next President of the Republic of Kenya.
The leaders of Meru, led by Governor Kiraitu who is the regional kingpin, will listen to Hon. Musalia and present the case of Meru people to him so that he can tell the people of Meru what they stand to achieve in terms of the national cake, should he become President.
He has also clearly stated that Meru will welcome and listen to all those seeking the presidency after which the community will make an informed decision on who to support.
Governor Kiraitu has further made it clear that, Meru and Mt. Kenya East region will not just give their support to leaders who wish to be President blindly, without requiring their fair share of the national goodies in terms of development, in the coming government next year, 2022.
