Raila Odinga is the former Prime Minister of Kenya. He is currently preparing for his presidential ambitions in 2022. Yesterday he toured Mombasa at the Wild Waters in Nyali whereby he met coast politicians led by Mombasa County Governor Hassan Joho. Joho while addressing ODM members indicated that he is willing to hold off his 2022 presidential intention and support ODM leader Raila Odinga.
“I’m ready to shelve my presidential ambition. I do not fear doing that,” he lamented.
He went ahead and said that there was an explanation why Coastal people have, over the years, rallied behind Odinga.
What showed these leaders like the ODM chief is the way they were conversing. Pictures from the event tell it all.
Odinga appreciated the support from the region and the good reception.
In my opinion, it is important for all leaders to join hands as we head to the general elections. This will lessen political temperatures.
