What DP Ruto Could Avoid Doing During Wednesday's Mashujaa Day (Opinion)

This year's Mashujaa Day celebrations are going to be held on 20th October, 2021 in Kirinyaga County. As usual top leaders in the country including the Deputy President William Ruto will be expected to grace the event as Kenyans all over the nation will be lauding those who contributed positively before and after independence.

One thing we should keep in mind is that President Uhuru Kenyatta, leaders from the opposition side and other invited guests will be present something that will automatically make the second in command to do things that will not tarnish him at the end of the event.

First, there are high chances that DP Ruto will not make any mistake of attacking the President and his allies during the event as he is expected to stay neutral by speaking about issues that are national importance as well as the major reason for attending Mashujaa. This will also be applied to his UDA party leaders and allies who will be around.

The second one is that DP Ruto will not engage in any forms of politicking during the event as this will only show that he does not respect the agenda of the day. Therefore, there is the highest likelihood that DP Ruto will not speak about anything that sounds like politics something that many of his supporters will love so much.

The third one is that DP Ruto will avoid keeping silent about appreciating the handwork that President Uhuru has been doing despite the two not working together like they used to do in the past. Some of the things DP Ruto will say concerning the President is congratulating him for the projects he has been doing around the country.

There are many other things that DP Ruto will not do during Mashujaa Day and they mostly revolve around those that may make the event to escalate into two rival groups. He will do this with a sole purpose of maintaining peace and ensuring their is harmony among all the people who will attend the event.
