Jubilee Party vice-chairperson David Murathe has spilled beans as he alleges that Deputy President Ruto is just surviving as the deputy president of Kenya because of the constitution. He alleges that President Uhuru Kenyatta could have dismissed him a long time ago when he started attacking him instead of helping him.
“It’s only the Deputy President, otherwise the President would have fired Ruto a long time ago,” Mr. Murathe said.
During a special interview on Spice FM, Murathe revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta was blocked from taking such a step simply because the DP’s position had the security of tenure as per the constitution. He also revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta is doing everything to ensure that Raila Odinga is the fifth president of Kenya and that is why he decided to take the position of the chairperson to ensure that there is trust among parties. The fallout between Raila Odinga and Deputy President Ruto started after the handshake process in 2018 and Deputy President Ruto realized that the deal had some hidden agenda in it.
