Reports have been indicating that there is a plan to impeach Interior CS Fred Matiang’i. This is claimed because Matiang’i is said to be abusing office and his attack on the parliament for allegedly suppressing the separation of powers.Hon. Alli is the pioneer of the motion and he is getting a helping hand from MPs who are closely allied to Deputy President William Ruto.
Abuga Makori,a political blogger posted a list of those Members of Parliament who signed that particular petition of impeaching CS Matiang'i. Many people have reacted to the issue among them is Moses Kuria,Gatundu South MP.
Moses Kuria has disclosed the reason why CS Matiang’i should not be impeached. He posted on Facebook handle and termed it as unnecessary destructions with the fact that the 2022 general elections are drawing closer
He said that it would have been wise if CS Matiang'i was impeached one year ago than being impeached at this moment.
