Governance Expert Kevin Osido, has raised a concern on why President Uhuru Kenyatta is still reluctant to accompany the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga to Mt Kenya region, to market him in his bid to presidency in upcoming 2022 general elections.

Speaking on an interview with TV47, Osido questioned why the Head of State is yet to accompany the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga into his backyard (Mt Kenya) to sell him as the best candidate to succeed him, despite Raila having already accompanied him during his working tour to his backyard in Nyanza.

Osido added that the President should have accompanied Raila to Mt Kenya region, and said how he stood with him to rescue his government when things were not going well. "There is no single rally that President Uhuru went with with Raila yet Raila took the president to Kisumu. The president should take Raila to Mt Kenya and talk about how he he stood he stood with him when things were thick." He said.
