Lee Kinyanjui Regrets Over His 'Reckless' Remarks Towards Kiambaa MP

Lee Kinyanjui - Governor Nakuru City County.

Nakuru Governor, Lee Kinyanjui, hit the airwaves a week ago after he castigated Kiambaa MP, John Njuguna Kawanjiku, for struggling to speak English. During a parliamentary session, Kawanjiku had a slip of the tongue and his political rivals took the advantage and demeaned him.

Kinyanjui went ahead and referred to Kawanjiku as a fool who could not express himself well in English. He went ahead and warned Kenyans to avoid electing such fools.

However, the Governor has come out to regret over this statement which rattled politicians especially those who align themselves with Ruto. During a political interview with Inooro TV, Kinyanjui accepted that his choice of words were wrong.

The Nakuru boss went on to say that he made a mistake to personalize the statement but maintained that Mt Kenya people must be keen on the kind of leaders they elect to represent them.

"I know I was not supposed to direct that statement to one person. But I still maintain that our region should elect leaders who can make laws that will make them grow. They should not vote for leaders who can't express themselves," alluded Lee.
