Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome has demanded an immediate apology from the Kirinyaga governor for what she termed as insulting and making the community look cheap through a statement she recently made.
Wahome said that governor Waiguru has been on record saying that you can only rent, but can not buy a Kikuyu, a statement Wahome said is degrading to the same voters who gave the governor a job by voting for her.
Wahome claimed that the governor's claim that they are ready to negotiate with presidential candidates ahead of 2022 has nothing to do with the community. She said that as Mt Kenya, they are already decided and have given William Ruto a job as the 5th president of Kenya.
"We want our governor to know that she needs to apologise to the entire community of Mt Kenya because her words are insulting and cheapening the same community that gave her the job," Wahome said.
"We are nolonger discussing the issue of presidency. We have given William Ruto a job so if you are still looking for somebody then you are wrong," she added. <https://youtu.be/5cXVqBlNueM>[Watch From minutes 4:40]
