The chemistry between the ODM leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and his Azimio running mate Mama Martha Karua has been the topic of discussion among Kenyans with many going the extra mile to compare the duo with UDA's Rigathi Gachagua and William Ruto. Since the day Baba unveiled Martha Karua at a colorful and pompous event at the KICC grounds, the Nark Kenya leader has been showering Raila with praises while cajoling Kenyans to vote for the Raila-Karua ticket in the 9th August General Election. Immediately, after Karua got unveiled as the Azimio deputy president-designate, Baba did an honorable thing and took her on a "lunch date" stealing the hearts of many Kenyans. On the Tuesday Night interview from Karen which was aired in various top media houses, the ODM leader and Martha Karua won the hearts of many Kenyans across both sides of the political divide on how they answered all questions without contradicting each other.
Immediately after the interview, a photo of Raila and Karua having a small talk over a cup of tea surfaced online eliciting mixed reactions. Many Kenyans feel that this is the best ticket to take over from President Uhuru and steer the nation towards prosperity.
