On Friday, May 26th, the former vice president, Kalonzo Musyoka, convened all Azimio leaders for a Wiper party prayer service at his family farm in Yatta, Machakos county. The prayer service was led by interdenominational leaders from across all religious formations. Senior leaders led by Raila Odinga, Martha Karua, Jeremiah Kioni were present.
Raila used the podium to castigate Ruto's government over failure to address the high cost of living which is paining many Kenyans.
The ODM party leader also commented on the ongoing row in Jubilee party where he accused the government of planning to destabilize the party with the aim of forcing a majority in parliament.
Odinga reiterated that Azimio will not allow anyone to take away Jubilee from them, promising to protect the party by all means possible.
In a hilarious way, the former prime minister argued that Jubilee party is his property and that he had paid dowry for it.
"Jubilee ni yetu tulilipia mahari," noted Odinga amid laughter and celebrations from the crowd.
Jubilee party has been caught up in the middle of an ugly infight where two factions have emerged, with each one of them fighting for control of the party.
