A bodaboda attendant and one of his passengers lost their lives after the female driver lost control and hit their motorcycle in the Free Area area on the Nairobi-Nakuru road.
Governor Kinyajui, in a statement, said the accident happened on Monday at around 5 a.m. while comforting the families of those who lost their lives. He said two other survivors were receiving treatment at a Nakuru hospital.
"We are sorry to announce that two people lost their lives while two survivors continue to receive treatment. Our sincere condolences to the families of the deceased. At the same time, we ensure that all victims are provided with appropriate medical care, "Kinyajui said via Facebook.
The first-term governor also used the occasion to raise awareness about road safety and to instruct drivers to be more vigilant.
Kinyajui, who was elected governor of Nakuru in the 2017 elections, is defending his position for the Jubilee ticket.
