David Makali, an independent journalist and ally of Raila Odinga who also works as a political pundit, has expressed his unhappiness with the Mt Kenya elite club of businessmen and known politicians who only want to see Raila Odinga in expensive Nairobi hotels.
Raila Odinga met with primarily Mt Kenya West moguls yesterday at the Safari Park Hotel in a move in which humongous amounts of money was allegedly raised to finance campaigns and presumably discuss how Raila can help the people of central Kenya if they back him.
According to David Makali on Twitter, there is something strange since Raila should have been invited to any town deep in the Mt Kenya region where people could connect with him, rather than Nairobi in hotels.
"But why do these Mt Kenya people keep meeting Baba in Nairobi Hotels instead of inviting him kwa ground huko kwao like others," he asked.
