Mathira member of Parliament Hon Rigathi Gachagua, has castigated the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga saying that he should stop telling the people of Mt Kenya the political history, between his family and the Mount Kenya people because they are not interested in that history.
Speaking on an interview with Citizen television, Rigathi said that the Mount Kenya people are just interested with the economic agendas which he has on how he will revive their economic activities. They don't want to hear about that history of him endorsing the former President Mwai Kibaki by saying Kibaki Tosha. Since the decision to back Kibaki for the top seat, did not benefit the people of Mt Kenya and the person who benefited is Kibaki alone that announcement did not help the local residents of the region in anyway.
"You know where the former Prime Minister is getting it wrong is by telling Mt Kenya people about that history. People want to hear how he is going to help them economically they want to hear his agendas. Telling me that you said Kibaki Tosha will not convince me to vote for you. Yes you said Kibaki tosha but that did not benefit us it is Kibaki who benefitted with that. He should go and tell or remind Kibaki but not us." He said.
