Despite a section of leaders allied to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance camp distancing themselves from the planned rallies to take place on December 7th and December 12th, some have said that they will stand with their leader Raila Odinga, and voice out what they think President William Ruto is getting wrong.
Raila termed the two rallies that will be held at Kamukunji Grounds and Jacaranda Grounds respectively as 'consultative forums' and not necessarily demonstrations against Ruto's government.
Speaking with TV 47 on Tuesday evening, Budalangi Member of Parliament Raphael Wanjala said that he will be attending the rallies, and will also address Kenyans on a number of key issues.
"Tomorrow we will have a meeting, and you will hear what we will say, and we will reveal what happened to our votes," said Wanjala echoing remarks by the Orange Democratic Movement party leader Mr Odinga, that the Azimio votes were stolen.
The Interior Cabinet Secretary Professor Kithure Kindiki has assured the Azimio wing that the government will provide them with the necessary security, but requested them to give out their schedule.
UDA's MP Bernard Kitur said that the Interior Ministry wants to protest the property of Kenyans who will be going on with their daily activities during the rallies.
