The adent ODM supporters have always maintained that they would love to see the former prime minister Raila Odinga on the ballot come 2022, this has put much pressure on the ODM boss because, he has continued to keep his supporters and opponents in the dark, with no one knowing what he is up to as far as his presidential bid is concerned.
Eventhough Raila has chosen to deal with the BBI issue first before he announces his political stand, some of his close allies have been seen holding several meetings with key political players in the country, something that paints a picture of a 2022 alliance in making.
The decition by Raila Odinga to organize his side without declaring whether he will contest for presidency or not, is a very clever decition by the ODM boss because his opponents are having no clue and therefore cannot come up with a counter plan against him.
Raila Odinga has also forged a better working relationship with the president and other political players who seem to be in support of the BBI process which they started with president Uhuru Kenyatta. This good working relationship may prove to be beneficial when he declares his presidential bid because he is now able to talk with these leaders freely without much criticism.
