The more the sun rises and sets, the closer the country gets to the much anticipated August polls and as expected, IEBC will conduct and oversee one of the most tumultuous general elections in Kenyan history.
The self-styled chief hustler William Ruto will lock horns with ODM mandarin Raila Odinga in the presidential ring and whoever humbles the other will have his name inscribed alongside Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel Moi, Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta's.
With the big day drawing nigh, the big ask is; Who between DP Ruto and Raila will be the next wearer of the coveted presidential crown? According to Maina Kamanda, the next Commander in-Chief will have Raila Amollo Odinga for names.
The nominated Member of Parliament (MP) has time and again forecasted that the only thing keeping Raila astride from statehouse is his ratings in Mt Kenya, if the latter gets atleast 35% he will take the power baton from Kenyatta II.
Will Raila scale the mountain and get a fair share of it's millions of votes? Oh well, Nyeri Township MP has made a daring move that could altogether earn Jakom 'millions' of votes. Wambugu Ngunjiri and his Jubilee Party comrades have for days now pitched tent in Mt Kenya popularizing Raila-Karua presidential ticket.
According to the last poll finding, Ruto is the most preferred presidential candidate in the region with over 45% rating, this compared to previous standings shows that the self-crowned chief hustler's ratings in the area have nose dived and should this pattern ensue, then Maina Kamanda's pro-Raila prediction will predictably come to pass.
