In order to win the Langata parliamentary seat in August 2022, the media star has already built up complex campaign apparatus, complete with branded products.

Jalang'o, who also operates an online television station and is a well-known Master of Ceremony, has stated that he will leave Kiss FM, his present employer, in February.

This is in accordance with Media Council guidelines, which provide that a journalist seeking a political position must quit six months prior to the election.

He'll then enter a crowded contest for the Lang'ata seat, which has already drawn prominent political heavyweights like Jaoko Oburu, Raila Odinga's nephew, incumbent Nick Korir, and football administrator Nicholas Musonye.

He also says he has a backup plan in case he doesn't get the seat clinched.
