With the next general elections only a few months away, the rift between President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto is escalating, with President Kenyatta reportedly rallying behind Raila Odinga, who appears to be a staunch opponent of DP Ruto, to succeed him in 2022.
And now according to State House sources close to the President, Uhuru Kenyatta's family is working to ensure that Raila Odinga defeats DP Ruto and becomes Kenya's fifth Presidentm
The source who requested anonymity, claimed that Kenyatta family may not openly support Raila Odinga, but they will work behind the scenes to ensure that all preparations to make Raila Odinga president in 2022 are properly executed.
The source also indicated that it was move clear and obvious that Kenyatta family wants Raila to succeed President Uhuru, going by the support the former premier is being awarded even when he is campaigning in Mount Kenya region and other parts of the country.
