Taking to his Twitter page on Tuesday afternoon, Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, seemed to have swallowed the humble pie and accepted that the initiative they fought hard to have it rejected had found its way into the looming referendum.
Cheruiyot told the pro BBI team to celebrate to their maximum, adding that the bill was a non issue to the hustler movement at the moment.
According to the youthful senator, the hustler's position on the BBI is still the same and that it is not a priority to them at the moment. He added that the system can do whatever it pleases them and celebrate their 'achievements'
"The Huster Nation's position on BBI remains the same. It is not a priority. It is least of our concern what the system decides to do with it. Celebrate all you want," stated Cheruiyot.
He maintained that their eyes were fixed on 2022 succession politics and that they will continue mobilizing their followers not to be distracted by the BBI politics.
"Eyes on the prize for us. Emancipation of the hustlers by all means." he added.
This comes at a time Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has claimed that their friends can change the constiitution all they want, but they will come and ammend it, should they take over power in 2022.
Already, 29 counties have passed the report against the required 24 threshold. It is now expected that the bill will sail through in parliament, allowing the country to go for a referendum poll later in the year.
