"I Won't Be Coerced Into Supporting Other Candidates" Mudavadi Says As Pressure Piles to Back Raila

Amani National Congress (ANC) party leaders Musalia Mudavadi has reiterated that he will be in ballot next year amid pressure to unite and support Raila's presidential bid come next year. Mudavadi says he will not back down his 2022 president bid to support any other candidate.

Mudavadi added that when he becomes 5th president of Kenya, he will focus on revamping county's economy. Mudavadi has also welcomed the move by Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) withdrawal from elections technical committee.

This will now complicate president Uhuru Kenyatta succession matrx ahead of his retirement next year. President has been working on the unite between OKA principals and Raila Odinga in order to beat deputy president Dr William Ruto.

Mudavadi is among top politicians who are keen to succeed president Uhuru Kenyatta who is serving his second and final term in office. Others are deputy president Dr William Ruto, Moses Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka, Governor Alfred Mutua, governor Kivuta Kibwana and Mukhisa Kitui. Raila is set to announce whether he will run or not on December 10th 2021.
