Musalia Mudavadi To Resign from ANC to Take State Job

It has come to light that five prominent political figures will be leaving their parties to take the oath of office as judges or attorneys in various jurisdictions.

The most recent information indicates that current party leaders will have to quit to accept the new leadership responsibilities offered by Head of State president William Ruto.

State officers are barred from serving in political parties. Thus those who have been elected to cabinet seats will have to resign from their respective parties before they can assume their new roles.

Amani National Congress ANC party head Musalia Mudavadi is among those who are set to step down from their respective parties.

His Excellency, the Head of State President Wiliam Ruto, has nominated him as prime cabinet secretary.

Dr. Alfred Mutua, a former governor of Machakos County and current member of the Maendeleo Chap Chap party, is another prominent figure.

Cabinet Secretary for Overseas and Diaspora Affairs, where he would be responsible for representing the country abroad and within the expatriate community.

After being appointed to the cabinet, Eliud Owalo, the deputy secretary general of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), would likewise retire from his position.
